(NEWPHER) WOLF, ELIZABETH ANNE (1847-1898)

(NEWPHER) WOLF, ELIZABETH ANNE was the wife of Lazarus Wolf.  She was probably born in the Terre Hill, PA area.  She probably was the daughter of James and Mary (???) Newpher. I have not found a marriage record yet. According to her gravestone in Terre Hill Cemetery, Terre Hill, PA she was born 3 May 1847 and died 11 Nov. 1898. According to family members there were 17 children who survived to adulthood - I cannot confirm or deny this currently. In the January 1993 issue of Mennonite Family History Magazine was the below article on the family of Jacob & Susanna Ressler focusing on the line of Samuel Ressler (1804-1876). To be truthful, I am not very familiar with this line as I am descended through the next older boy, Daniel (1802-1901).  However, there are a couple things in the article I would like to correct or add to, so please continue to read below the nice article. 1. AFFLERBACH HOUSE IN GERMANY

This is the Afflerbach (Applebach) family home in Womelsdorf, Germany.  The farm has been passed down thru the generations to various family members and is still in the family.  When this photo was taken in May 1978, the resident was Karl Afflerbach.  While I lived in Germany, I visited with he and his wife and ate meals with them.  They proudly showed me the dark, low ceiling rooms that had been the original house back in the 1500's.  In Germany, houses used to be named and this one is the "Kraemershaus".
