The Lancaster Daily Intelligencer of Aug. 29, 1889 mentions Elizabeth Applebach very casually in an article "A Stable Destroyed" about a barn fire.  Apparently Abraham and Elizabeth were renting a barn at 761 N. Lime St, Lancaster and it caught fire - and over $300 worth of bundled rags were destroyed.  The article goes on to say that it might have been set by a tramp who was turned away without a meal earlier. 1913 Lancaster, PA Directory:  (pg. 233) Elizabeth Applebach (widow of Abraham) is listed as living at 431 N.
