APPLEBACH, JAMES & GARNER, PAULINE: WEDDING 1957

My parents were married 01 Sept. 1957 at Covenant Evangelical United Brethren Church (AKA Covenant UMC) in Lancaster, PA.

Update 06 07 2018: I just found this written note about mom's wedding dress in with some papers - I'm guessing the writing is by someone in the shop because it is not handwriting I recognize.

As far as I know, this is the only photo that has my parents and both sets of grandparents in it.

In the January 1993 issue of Mennonite Family History Magazine was the below article on the family of Jacob & Susanna Ressler focusing on the line of Samuel Ressler (1804-1876). To be truthful, I am not very familiar with this line as I am descended through the next older boy, Daniel (1802-1901).  However, there are a couple things in the article I would like to correct or add to, so please continue to read below the nice article. 1. AFFLERBACH HOUSE IN GERMANY

This is the Afflerbach (Applebach) family home in Womelsdorf, Germany.  The farm has been passed down thru the generations to various family members and is still in the family.  When this photo was taken in May 1978, the resident was Karl Afflerbach.  While I lived in Germany, I visited with he and his wife and ate meals with them.  They proudly showed me the dark, low ceiling rooms that had been the original house back in the 1500's.  In Germany, houses used to be named and this one is the "Kraemershaus".
